OUR CORE WORK

1. Holistic Care, Psychosocial Support, Healing and Child Protection

REHOCT provides integrated holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, psychological, social, developmental, and spiritual needs of poor, rural, grieving, and vulnerable children and adolescents. Through psychosocial support, emotional healing, values formation, child protection, essential needs and nutrition support, counselling, referrals, and safe spaces, REHOCT helps children and adolescents recover from grief, loss, trauma, abuse, neglect, and other adverse life experiences while restoring hope, dignity, resilience, well-being, and healthy development.

2. Early Childhood Care and Development Support

REHOCT recognizes that some children lose their parents or caring relatives in early ages and leaving them without support make it hard for them to enjoy life and access opportunities to realize their dreams.
REHOCT walk alongside grieving and vulnerable children from their early ages as we believe that early years of life provide the foundation for lifelong learning, health, and well-being. Therefore, through Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) programmes, the organization promotes children’s holistic physical, cognitive, language, emotional, social, and moral development from birth through the early years. REHOCT supports young children through nurturing care, early learning opportunities, nutrition, health promotion, child protection, positive parenting, play-based learning, and school readiness programmes to ensure they reach their full developmental potential.

3. Quality Basic Education Access Support

REHOCT promotes equitable access to inclusive and quality basic education for poor, rural, grieving, and vulnerable children and adolescents. Through educational support, school enrolment and retention initiatives, learning materials, scholarships, teacher and school partnerships, remedial learning, literacy promotion, and educational advocacy, REHOCT enables grieving and vulnerable children and adolescents to acquire the knowledge, competencies, and values needed for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship which will lead them to hope again and fulfill their dreams.

4. Life Skills, Mentorship and Personal Development

REHOCT equips grieving and vulnerable children and adolescents with the practical life skills, positive values, confidence, and guidance needed to navigate life’s challenges and realize their full potential. Through life skills education, mentorship, leadership development, career guidance, vocational skills training, entrepreneurship education, and personal development programmes, grieving and vulnerable children and adolescents are empowered to make informed decisions, build healthy relationships, become self-reliant, and grow into responsible, productive, and resilient members of society.

5. Sports, Arts, Recreation and Talent Development

REHOCT recognizes sports, arts, and recreation as powerful tools for healing, learning, inclusion, and holistic child and adolescent development. Through organized sports, creative arts, music, drama, dance, games, cultural activities, and recreational programmes, children and adolescents are provided with safe and supportive spaces to express themselves, build healthy relationships, develop their talents, strengthen emotional well-being, promote teamwork and leadership, and experience joy, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

6. Family Empowerment, Livelihood Support and Community Strengthening

REHOCT recognizes that children and adolescents thrive in strong, caring, and resilient families and communities. This core work area strengthens caregivers through parenting education, family counselling, livelihood and economic empowerment, savings and entrepreneurship initiatives, community engagement, and child protection awareness. These interventions improve household resilience and strengthen community capacity to create safe, nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environments where children and adolescents can grow, learn, and reach their full potential.

7. Partnerships, Advocacy, Resource Mobilization and Organizational Sustainability

REHOCT builds strategic partnerships and strengthens institutional systems to maximize sustainable impact for children, adolescents, families, and communities. Through collaboration, advocacy, networking, policy engagement, research, accountability, resource mobilization, organizational capacity development, and effective governance, REHOCT works with government, development partners, civil society, schools, faith communities, and the private sector to advance child well-being and ensure the long-term sustainability of its programmes and services.
